Choosing Your Perfect Moment
While Saint Martin basks in tropical glory year-round, December to April is when this island truly shines for weddings. Picture-perfect weather, though it comes with a side of peak season prices. For the budget-savvy, May to November offers great deals, but pack an umbrella—just in case! Your wedding photographer in Sint Maarten will know how to make the most of any weather condition.
- You'll need to be at least 18
- Valid passports are a must
- Bring those birth certificates (freshly issued, please!)
- Plan to stay a while—there's a one-month residency requirement
- Don't forget your Certificate of Non-Impediment to Marriage
- Brush up on your French, as all documents need translation
Crossing over to the Dutch side (Sint Maarten):
- Similar rules apply, but you can fast-track that residency to just 10 days
- Your documents can speak Dutch or English here
